Totsuka Blade

A blade that seals foes into an eternal, drunken slumber forever.

The Totsuka Blade is a legendary spiritual sword sealed within a sake cup, wielded by the Susanoo avatar of Shisui Uchiha's distant relative and fellow member of the Konoha Anbu, Itachi Uchiha. Unlike conventional weapons that rely on physical sharpness or chakra enhancement alone, this blade functions as an ultimate sealing tool capable of trapping any target it pierces into a permanent, dream-like alcohol dimension.

Lore & Background

The sword possesses no physical edge; instead, its power lies in its ability to seal whatever it touches into an illusory world of eternal intoxication. Once struck, the victim is trapped in a dream state where time holds no meaning, effectively removing them from the battlefield without death. This makes it one of the few weapons capable of neutralizing powerful foes like the Akatsuki member Deidara or the reincarnated Sannin Orochimaru.

In Their Own Story

Deidara screamed as his explosive clay birds turned to ash before they could strike, but it was too late. The blade moved faster than thought, piercing through the explosion's heart and finding its mark on the artist himself. There was no blood, only a strange, shimmering light that enveloped Deidara instantly. Within seconds, the fierce bomber vanished from reality, trapped forever in a silent, drunken slumber inside a world of his own making.

Reader's Guide

Only Itachi Uchiha has demonstrated the ability to wield this artifact in modern times, utilizing his Mangekyo Sharingan to summon his Susanoo. The blade is often paired with the Yata Mirror, another sacred treasure that can block any attack by altering its nature. Together, they form an impenetrable defense and an unstoppable offense, allowing Itachi to neutralize threats that would otherwise overwhelm even the strongest shinobi.
